Students need to register to receive updates and notifications for the WEC national selection for the academic year 2024-2025. Registration ensures they stay informed about important dates and requirements.
If more than three students from a single school are interested in participating, an online multiple choice exam must be administered under the supervision of a school teacher. This exam is sent by RECE to ensure fair and standardized testing.
The top performers from the school selection exams will be invited to sit the final exam onsite in Bucharest at a large international school. The final exam is a 90-minute multiple choice test designed to assess students' comprehensive understanding of economics.
Finalists from the national exam will qualify for the European Continental Cup. The number of students representing Romania at the Continental Cup depends on the average scores obtained. The minimum number of students is six, with a record of 23 students qualifying in 2024. In 2023, the Romanian team’s exceptional performance allowed them to skip the European Continental Cup and proceed directly to the World Economics Cup.
