• VTM Accounting Challenge

We are glad to announce the innaugural edition of VTM Accounting Challenge, the first High School Accouunting Challenge in Romania! Our main partner is VTM - Vulpoi & Toader Management, one of Romania’s freatest firms providing accounting services and business consulting. Although this competition is aimed primarily for students from economics-focused high schools, it is also designed to give all students the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in accounting and finance.

The Team

I’m Bogdan Miheț, a 17-year-old from Bucharest with a profound interest in business and economics. From the outset of high school, I have pursued substantive involvement both academically and beyond the classroom, determined to cultivate as comprehensive a profile as possible.

Recently, I have served as a member of the National Students’ Council, representing Romania at international seminars convened by the Council of Europe and not only; as president of my school’s business club; and as the founder of a podcast designed to inspire young people through compelling success stories.

In 2025, my commitment to the field crystallized when I earned a Gold Award at the International Business Olympiad and a Bronze Award at the World Economics Cup. To broaden access to international competitions for students of all backgrounds, I established the youth program of the Romanian Excellence Center for Economics—RECE 4 YOUth—whose aim is to build a nationwide network of ambassadors and, in doing so, elevate Romania’s performance on the global stage. Accordingly, I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Coordinator of RECE 4 YOUth and am particularly keen to meet each of you individually.

My name is Ioana-Lucia Dobreanu, a 17-year-old student from Deva, passionate about both literature and politics. I am truly honored to serve as Vice-Coordinator within the RECE 4YOUth initiative.

I would describe myself as deeply engaged in the civic environment, being the founder of the only project in Deva that supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds through youth volunteerism. I wholeheartedly advocate for education and the literacy of Romanian students in the fields that are currently shaping innovation around the world and influencing global politics. For this reason, I have devoted part of my work as a Debate Trainer to bringing forward contemporary aspirations and meaningful opportunities for my peers.

My purpose is simple yet powerful: I want to bring RECE closer to every student who has ever dreamed of doing more - of transcending limitations, of transforming ideals into impact, and of discovering that their voice can shape tomorrow. I believe that when young people are offered the tools to think critically, to engage actively, and to dream courageously, they can redefine what is possible. RECE, for me, is not just a project - it is a promise of change, a bridge between youthful ambition and lasting social transformation.
