IEOx Winter Challenge Preparation

The IEOx Winter Challenge is an exciting and engaging competition that takes place annually in February. This event is designed to be accessible and fun for all students interested in economics, providing a platform to enhance their knowledge and skills in a competitive yet enjoyable environment.

Program Structure:

Timing and Duration:

The IEOx Winter Challenge typically occurs over a span of two weeks in February. Register through RECE to receive updates on registration dates and detailed schedules.

Competition Format:

  • Economics Quiz: Students tackle 20 multiple-choice questions on basic economic concepts and models. This section is designed to test contestants' understanding and analytical skills individually.
  • Financial Literacy Game: An online simulation where students create personal financial plans. This part of the competition evaluates their ability to manage income and expenses, plan investments, and understand credit and debt management.
  • Business Case: A team-based challenge where participants present solutions to real-world economic problems. Teams prepare their presentations over a week and submit their slides for evaluation.
